There are those who have crashed and those who will crash.   I really hate this saying. Like, I get the point it’s trying to make.  Motorcycling is high risk. Very high risk. I’d argue that motorcycling can’t even be done safely. I’d even say that Safety is an Illusion.  

In 1940 Helen Keller published the book, Let Us Have Faith. In it she wrote;

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Good advice. This quote is actually why we have always kinda’ shied away from the idea of “safety” and instead have gravitated towards the idea of risk and risk management.
